Chelsey

Yoga Teacher Season: Fall

In 2016, Chelsey found herself in a counselor’s office in tears with crippling anxiety. After visiting with several counselors, one intern finally said to her, “Chelsey, I just think you’re supposed to do something different, maybe go travel the world or something.” Shortly after, she booked her first trip to El Salvador where she found herself practicing yoga in the mornings alone. When returning to the States, she joined a yoga studio. She loved the challenging sequence of Hot Yoga but didn’t understand why she felt compelled to return daily. Within 6 months, she booked a flight to take her Yoga Teacher Training course in Costa Rica. In her yoga teacher training, she realized teaching yoga internationally would be part of her path. She has since taught yoga in China, Thailand, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. Chelsey is fascinated about the therapeutic benefits of this ancient practice and is thrilled that the West is beginning to take on mindfulness practices, breathwork exercises and yoga as therapy. She is currently a Yoga Therapy student and intends to involve Yoga Therapy in her teachings and offerings to help people develop a practice that facilitates their a lifestyle upgrade.
