JC and Catalina
In 2009, my fiancé (and now my husband), JC launched a Surf and Yoga Retreat encompassing healthy food, lots of surfing and yoga, and guests thrived in that environment. We noticed they were delving deeper and finding their authentic selves within the daily framework provided so we requested feedback. Collectively we learned their real desire was to reframe their habits to create a sustainable, healthy way of living for more than just one weekend. The four pillars to focus upon were mentality, emotionality, physicality, and spirituality not just for one weekend but for life.

Yes, practicing yoga can aid in weight loss. Regular yoga practice can improve metabolism, increase muscle tone, and reduce stress, all of which contribute to weight loss. Some types of yoga, such as power yoga and hot yoga, are particularly effective at burning calories and increasing heart rate. However, it’s important to note that weight loss results may vary depending on various factors such as diet, lifestyle, and level of physical activity outside of yoga practice.
One of the most important precautions to note when practicing yoga or working out is to listen to your body. It’s essential to be aware of how your body feels and avoid pushing yourself beyond your limits. Ignoring pain or discomfort can lead to injury and hinder progress. Instead, honor your body’s needs and limitations by modifying poses or taking breaks as needed. This will allow you to have a safe and effective practice that benefits your overall physical and mental well-being. Remember, every body is different, and it’s essential to practice in a way that feels right for you.
We offer a variety of activities, such as yoga, meditation, hiking, nature walks, massage, spa treatments, snorkeling, surfing, ATV, horse back riding and workshops on nutrition, mindfulness, and stress reduction.
