“I found my love for yoga while sailing and scuba diving all corners of the world, but after 15 years of traveling, all roads led me back to Namibia where I started a new journey that I want to share with you! I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, grew up in Namibia, and traveled extensively through other African countries, and trust me when I say - “You are in good hands and in for an adventure on any of my yoga holidays”. I have done the research, the traveling and I also worked as a travel consultant in Namibia, selling various safari tours in Southern Africa and applying what I’ve learned to my own yoga safari’s. If you want to see and experience the best that Namibia or any other Southern or Eastern African Countries has to offer, where days are filled with mindful yoga flows, you have landed yourself at the right place. Even though initially taught in Ashtanga yoga, I’ve developed a deep understanding over the years of more mindful and calm practices out in nature, which I also apply on all of my trips - these yoga holidays are about you, connecting with yourself on a deeper level out in nature and having an adventure of a life time. It’s a fun and non-competitive environment, making it a peaceful healing space for anyone joining.
I’ve had guests joining my yoga holidays that did their first ever yoga session up to yoga teachers, and even a few repeat guests coming for a second, third, and even fourth time. For the perfect group experience and personal attention we take a maximum of 5 - 7 guests per retreat, and a maximum of 12 for international yoga teachers wanting to bring a group.
We welcome all levels from beginners to advance, adjusting sessions according to your experience. Groups are small which allows personal attention, tailoring to your personal needs.
Each yoga holiday is different, but you can expect 1 yoga sessions per day, depending on the days activities. All scheduled activities are early mornings, but then the afternoon yoga sessions will be longer.
Morning sessions are usually a combination of vinyasa flows, meditation and breathing techniques to energize you for the day, where afternoon session are more relaxed yin or slow flows.
For the Namibian yoga holidays you do not have to bring your own mat as they are supplied, including all props. For any of the other African countries, please bring your own mat, props will be supplied.
