This trek is very famous among the climbers as it leads to the bottom of iconic Mount Annapurna (8,091 meters). The panoramic views from Poonhill View point and breathtaking feelings of getting the closest view of Mt. Annapurna are just among the few highlights that attract many climbers and trekkers every year. Passing through charming villages, narrow roads, and beautiful rhododendron forests you reach Annapurna Base Camp. You’ll also be able to get the best views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Machhapuchre(Fishtail) and many other beautiful mountains throughout the whole trail to ABC base camp.
The trek is mainly suited for the experienced trekkers in a good physical shape. The trek goes upto the altitude of 4130 meters at Annapurna Base Camp which is the last destination of classic Annapurna Base Camp via Poonhill trek. The trek is best for the family with teens and friends who want to have a good experience in depth of nature. You also get to experience the way of life of people in the Himalayan remote region of Nepal. As you hike upto ABC via Poonhill you’ll pass many beautiful villages with welcoming and wonderful people. The food and the culture are also one of the most exquisite attractions of the region.
As the altitude goes above 4,000 meters during the Annapurna Base Camp via Poonhill Trek, trekkers need to be in a very good physical shape before embarking on the journey. Basic physical exercises are recommended to all the travellers 3-4 months prior to the trek. For your own comfort carrying basic trekking gears with you is also recommended to all the trekkers. There might be some hardships along the way but the trek surely will be worth it as you taste the authentic local foods and beverages along with the spectacular sceneries. The permits needed for the trek are TIMS permit and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) permits, which we will acquire for you before you start the trek.
After a short visit of major UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu, the trek begins with a spectacular drive to Pokhara, one of the top touristic attractions of Nepal. We head to Nayapul and trek upto Tikhedhunga to stay for the night with a belly full of local foods and beverages. We embark to beautiful Ghorepani the next day, which will be around 5 to 6 hours of walk. We reach Poonhill the next day and enjoy the best sceneries in the region and head on to Tadapani to stay for the Night. We move on to Sinuwa the next day. We move on to Deurali the next day from where we’ll be visiting our last destination Annapurna Base Camp. We stay at ABC for the night and trek down to Bamboo the next day. We move downwards to Pothana and onwards to Phedi via a different route. We drive back to Pokhara and take a stunning drive back to Kathmandu which marks the end to our spectacular Annapurna Base Camp via Poonhill Trek.
