Swimming Pool & Terrace

Thanks to its sunny weather, Portugal is the perfect place to enjoy summer and winter. With the highest number of sunshine hours per year, and the longest summer in Europe, Portugal is the place to be. Enjoy our outdoor swimming pool, and recharge your body with the energy of the Sun.

Mini-Spa

Surfing is one of the most demanding sports. After one or two sessions a day, some minutes in our sauna will help your muscles to recover for the next day.

Chill-out

Both inside and outside we have meticulously created chill out areas where you can feel like at home, whether you just want to chill, read, talk or enjoy the peace of this Portuguese gift of nature. Take advantage of the terrace and the outside areas and in winter just come close to our fireplace and enjoy a conversation with the staff and guests.

Gym

If the surfing conditions are not good, or if you feel like you still having energy to use in your body, our professional instructor will help you with a personal training focused on surfing. Go to the gym and prepare your body for surfing control and endurance specialized exercises.

Yoga

Find the perfect equilibrium for your body and soul complementing the practice of surf with yoga lessons. Yoga improves important skills for surfing such as balance, focus and breathing. Our morning lessons are meant to energize your body and mind and the evening lessons are good for stretching your muscles and relaxing after the intense day of sport and adventure.

Sintra

Sintra is a small and very picturesque city, a mandatory visit if you are in Portugal, located in the hills surrounded by the most beautiful nature; Sintra was a summer getaway for the Portuguese aristocracy. You will feel like in a fairy tale surrounded by colorful castles, amazing buildings and endless gardens. Unesco World Heritage since 1995, Sintra is a visit you can´t miss.

Lisbon

What can we say of Lisbon, one of our favorite cities, a European capital that is different from the rest; a place that invites you to walk and get lost into their streets, with countless corners to discover; viewpoints and places where you can breathe and feel the true life of Lisbon. Doesn´t matter how many times have you been, Lisbon has always something else to show you and worth a new visit.

Sintra Coast

The coast of Sintra is one of the most beautiful coasts in Portugal, not so famous as others, but full of little corners to discover: old fishermen towns built on the cliffs like “Azenhas do Mar”, the most beautiful beaches, old trams that take you to a different time and place that will make you feel like in a little Caribbean island. Surf Lessons

Our surf program has been specially designed by professionals of physical education, surf and sports. Created and meticulously designed for all levels of surfers and for all physical conditions. By joining our surf program you will not only be able to taste the surfing life and surf training, but you will also be able to improve your skills, and more important, gain the necessary knowledge to continue your training and progress at home. If you are interested in becoming a real surfer our surfing program is the key.

"The staff was amiable! The food was really really good. I love the routine in the house with yoga, surfing, healthy eating, and going in the sauna before bed. The house was a bit cold in the winter since Portuguese houses don’t have a heating system. But that made an evening at the fireplace extra cozy. And the closed garden room was always warmer because of the sun. The view from the was like a painting. And the beach where we surfed (a different beach can be chosen because of surfing conditions) was super pretty."

Things to keep in mind

CANCELLATIONS

The cancellation will be valid the day we receive it.

– We will refund you 100% of the total paid amount when the cancellation is made two months before the start.

– We will keep 25% of the total amount and refund the rest of the paid amount when the cancellation is made within one and two months before the starting.

– We will keep 50% of the total amount and refund the rest of the paid amount (if applicable) when cancellations are produced until two weeks before the starting.

– Within less than two weeks before the start, we do not refund. We recommend you to contract travel insurance.

– Activ Retreats Cancellation Insurance: Our insurance covers cancellations up to the arrival date. In case of a cancellation during the stay, it will only cover if it is due to a major cause as illness, accident or injury. The cancellation insurance won’t cover the costs of transfers for cancellations with less than a week in advance.

PAYMENT

To validate your inscription and to confirm your booking at “Activ Retreats”, the total amount or advanced payment of the required services must be paid.

You can find all the bank details in the confirmation letter, which we will send you by e-mail once you fill in the form on our website.

The booking will be considered as valid when the required amount has been transferred to our bank account, and you have received a confirmation e-mail with the booking details.

For payments by credit card we accept visa and mastercard cards.

CONDITIONS

All personal details are compulsory in the registration form.

The participants minimum age is 18 years old. Unless traveling with an adult.

Activ Retreats reserves the right to make modifications, but only if these modifications do not change the essential services or due to unexpected and uncontrollable situations.

Booking variations depend on availability and they could involve increase on the total due to different rates of the dates.

Images of your stay at Activ Retreats are only used for publicity or promotional purposes as web site, flyers, brochures,…

Customers must be physically fit and capable to swim. The client confirms that from a medical point of view, there is nothing that prevents him/her from going surfing or bodyboarding. We require that you communicate us any relevant medical aspects: allergies, disabilities, medical incapacities etc.

The transfer service is subject to availability. We recommend you to ask for this service when you fill out the online booking form or as soon as possible.

Each customer is responsible for the Dream surf camp equipment during its use, and accepts the responsibility to replace it in case of lost or serious damage by inappropriate use of it. The customer has to pay the lost or damaged equipment which automatically becomes the customer’s property.

The excursions and trips we offer are not included in the total camp price. They depend on a minimum number of participants and availability. These reasons can lead to a cancellation of the previous.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Activ Retreats does not accept any responsibilities or any refunds in the following circumstances.

– When the client is responsible for the incorrect delivery of the services.

– When the defective services are due to third parties or they occur in an unpredictable manner.

– When the services cannot be provided, due to conditions beyond the control of the company. These are unusual and unpredictable conditions which could result in unexpected consequences such as natural disasters or meteorological aspects etc.

– When the incorrect delivery of the services is caused by happenings at Activ Retreats, even though all the diligences are taken, but they still could neither be predicted nor prevented.

– When any happening could occur before and after the course hours.

– Clients have to listen to the instructions of our staff and to follow Activ Retreats regulations. In case of not doing so and behaving irresponsible, the company will take the necessary measures, prior notification, such as the exclusion of the courses.

INSURANCE

For medical assistance during your stay at Activ Retreats, each client ought to have:

– Medical card and insurance (or)

– Contract a travel insurance
