By attending the salsa immersion I agree that during the salsa immersion and/or during any other adventurous or active pursuits or trips in which I will participate under the arrangements of the host and it agents, and subcontractors, certain risks and dangers may arise, including, but not limited to, risks inherent in sporting activities, risks inherent to COVID-19 infection, and risks inherent in traveling and spending time in a foreign country.

The host, and its agents and subcontractors shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses caused to any traveler in connection with any of the above activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or developments, viral pandemics, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the travel operator’s control. In addition, I acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate on the chosen trip itinerary and my signing this form constitutes acceptance of the agreed upon travel arrangements as well as my obligation to pay for these arrangements. I am voluntarily participating in this trip with the knowledge of the numerous risks and dangers involved including but not limited to: negligence in any manner on the part of the host, including without limitation, negligence in the conduct or arrangement of the trip in any respect from inception to completion, negligence with regard to equipment selection or maintenance, in the maintenance, selection, or operation of any van or other motor vehicle or vessel utilized to transport passengers, etc; physical exertion for which I am not prepared; forces of nature; their heirs, or any of their affiliated agents, employees, or volunteers for bodily injury, death, emotional trauma or property damage resulting from my participation on the tour. I therefore release and discharge the host, it’s agents, subcontractors, and volunteers from and against any and all liability arising from my participation in the tour or expedition for any reason whatsoever.

The host has established Core Values and a Code of Conduct to ensure our community remains a safe, respectful, and welcoming space. These principles guide all The host activities and apply to everyone within the community. We openly share these values and the Code of Conduct, encouraging all participants to review them.

Code of Conduct Violations:

You will violate our Code of Conduct if you:

Actions Contrary to the Law:
1. Undertake, plan, or advocate illegal activities causing personal injury or property damage.
2. Post or distribute materials that infringe upon any third-party rights or violate any laws.
3. Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with them.
4. Administer substances to another person without their knowledge.

Creating an Unsafe or Harassing Environment:
1. Engage in any sexual contact without explicit affirmative consent (only "yes" means yes).
2. Defame, abuse, harass, harm, threaten others, or make discriminatory, bigoted, hateful, or offensive statements.
3. Harassment includes offensive comments regarding age, race, ethnicity, ability, religion, national origin, physical appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
4. Engaging in intimidation, stalking, harassment through photography or recording, and causing disruptions during events.
5. Unwanted physical contact, sexual attention, threats of physical harm, or encouraging such behavior.

Actions Impacting Participation:
1. Deviating from planned group programming and itinerary.
2. Failing to follow Activity application/registration requirements or providing false information.
3. Ignoring Activity requirements, procedures, policies, regulations, or instructions.
4. Engaging in excessive alcohol or substance use.
5. Allowing unauthorized access to our Activities.
6. Using community members' information for purposes other than Activity-related.
7. Making false accusations or statements regarding Code of Conduct violations.

Reporting Violations:

We encourage everyone to report harmful acts, harassment, or misconduct against community members, participants, or event attendees. Reporting an incident will not lead to an unsafe or unwelcome environment, and we will not tolerate retaliation against those reporting in good faith.

During an Immersion Hosted by The host:
1. Message the host's team on WhatsApp to report harassment.
2. The host's team will promptly address the incident, possibly involving another staff member for proper management. Depending on the case, security, local law enforcement, or support services may be called upon to ensure safety.

At Any Time:
1. Email info@activretreats.com to report an incident.
2. Provide detailed information, including individuals involved, location, time, and other pertinent details.
3. The Incident Intake Officer will respond, gather information, and act accordingly. In emergencies, immediate action will be taken.

Consequences for Code of Conduct Violations:

If we determine a violation has occurred, we may take various actions:

1. Direct the offender to cease their behavior, issuing a warning of further sanctions.
2. Require the offender to avoid contact and physical proximity to the complainant.
3. Mandate the offender's immediate departure from the Activity without a refund.
4. Impose temporary or permanent bans from the host's Activities, including communication platforms.
5. Remove the offender from our community.

The host's staff will inform both the offender and reporting person (and other involved individuals, if appropriate) of the resolution and record the outcome.

Violations will not be tolerated within our community. Offenders must comply with corrective actions immediately. Staff and facilitators may take appropriate measures, including temporary bans or permanent expulsion from the host's Community.
