The Beach, Plage de Moliets
Plage de Moliets, our local surf beach, is a short, ten-minute walk from our campsite. During the summer months, the coastline around the Southwest of France offers great wave conditions for beginner surfers and intermediate surfers alike. Hit by consistent summer swells, Moliets-Plage is ideal for first-time surfers and everyone wanting to improve their existing surf skills. And with our qualified team of international surf instructors, you can be sure to be in good hands and learning from the best.
Entertainment in our surf & yoga camp
We run two entertainment schedules which we adjust to the weather and our guests’ preferences. If you’re up for a relaxed evening after an active and sunny day on the beach, join us for a sunset Yoga session on the beach or in the forest, our traditional French wine & cheese night, an outdoor surf camp movie night or a sunset session on the beach with music, drinks and volleyball.
If you’re feeling more energetic, our surf camp across the campsite offers more fantastic opportunities to mix and mingle with fellow surf holidaymakers for live music events and open mic nights, flunky ball, fancy dress parties, nights out on the town in Moliets’ local bars and more.
Learn to surf in warm water & amazing waves
Between April and October, the coastline around Moliets-Plage is hit by consistent summer swells that offer great surfing conditions for both beginner and intermediate surfers.
Surf Course & Surf Instructors
During your weeks’ surf course, our surf instructors teach you the essentials of surfing, such as how to paddle into waves, catching waves, standing up and controlling your surfboard. We use ‘foamies’ for our surf lessons which are great for beginners to catch the most waves.
All our surf instructors are qualified, fully licensed in the country they teach surfing in and have a lifeguarding qualification. They have a good understanding of the wave conditions and local surf spots and are always ready to lend you a helping hand. The maximum group size for our surf lessons is eight surfers per one instructor, plus one surf assistant if required. The use of surf equipment (surfboard, leash and wetsuit) is included in you surf lessons.
Your first surf lesson will be on Sunday. We all meet at the surf tent for an introduction and wetsuit allocation in the morning of your first day surfing. We divide all surfers into beginner and intermediate groups. Your surf lesson times are displayed on our notice board in the surf camp.
Yoga in the Surf Camp: Strengthen Your Body & Revitalize Your Mind on Your Surf Holidays
Yoga has swept surfers off their feet with most professional surfers practising yoga to help improve flexibility, core strength and surfing performance. After a long day surfing, yoga is a fantastic way to improve your flexibility and strengthen your body.
We have built a large shaded yoga platform among the trees. We run a weekly yoga schedule with two yoga sessions per day (not Saturdays). Our enthusiastic and professional yoga instructors make their sessions fun and accessible to ‘Yogis’ of all levels.
Join our yoga sessions here in our Moliets surf camp and see the positive effects of yoga for yourself, your body and your surfing. Choose from 3, 5 or 10 yoga sessions per surf camp week. We provide exercise equipment during the sessions free of charge.
Our yoga instructors offer a variety of yoga styles in different settings. Besides the yoga sessions on our yoga deck in the surf camp, we also hold regular yoga sessions on the beach during sunset.
