Next, we venture to Pokhara for a night of relaxation before flying to the enchanting village of Jomsom. Here, our trek through the mystical Upper Mustang Kingdom begins. Trekking 4 to 7 hours daily amidst breathtaking mountain vistas, we traverse ancient villages and rustic teahouses, connecting with the locals along the way.

In Lo Mantang, immerse yourself in the rich history and tranquility of this ancient kingdom. Take a day hike to Choser Village and enjoy a well-deserved rest day to rejuvenate and explore.

Returning to Jomsom via an adventurous Jeep ride, we conclude our trek before flying back to Pokhara and Kathmandu. Our final day in Kathmandu is dedicated to exploring sacred sites, witnessing traditional rituals, and absorbing the spiritual essence of this vibrant city.

Tips are not included but encouraged. We will tip the local team based on local standards. You can tip the team at your discretion.

Single occupancy is not available as a booking option. We will do our best to match you with a traveler of the same gender, and if we can’t we will provide a single room at no charge. If you want to specifically request single occupancy for an extra charge, let us know. We want everyone to be comfortable.

You will book your own flights into and out of Kathmanu. We take care of ground transportation and domestic flights for you.


Food:

We will carry food for snacks and light lunches while traveling. There will be opportunities to buy local food and eat out. Breakfast and dinner while trekking will be provided at the teahouses. This is a chance to try the local cuisine. If you have special food you want to carry on runs, you will need to bring it with you.​

Accommodation: 

We will be staying in hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara. When we are out trekking we will stay in teahouses in villages. These are rustic hotels are staffed by local villagers and provide the opportunity to interact with the locals directly.

Our team are experienced adventurers who have been there and done that. With backgrounds that range from corporate executives to ultra race directors to computer programmers, we bring a wealth of experience that you won't find in your typical wilderness guide. Our team has a depth and breadth of outdoor experience that is not easily matched. The team has climbed mountains in the Andes, Rockies, Himalaya, Sierra Madres and completed 200+ mile ultra marathons. These are the people you want leading you when the challenges come.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu via your self arranged flight. You can arrive at anytime during the day, and

we will be there to pick you up.

Day 2

Spend the first part of the day visiting significant sites in Kathmandu, including temples and

markets. Then catch a domestic flight to Pokhara.

Day 3

Early flight to the village of Jomsom and then a Jeep ride ot the village of Chele.

Day 4 to 8

7 days Trekking in the Himalaya. Each day we will hike the ancient trails of Upper Mustang. Hiking days will range from 4 to 7 hours

and about 2,500’ of elevation gain. Along the way we will have lunch in the village restaurants.

Day 4 - Chele to Syangboche, 6-7 hours, 10,007’

Day 5 - Syangboche to Ghami, 5-6 hours, 11,549’

Day 6 - Ghami to Tsarang, 4-5 hours, 12,697

Day 7 - Tsarang to Lo Manthang, 3-5 hours, 12,139’

Day 8 - Dayhike Choser Village & cave exploration, 5-6 hours, 12,139’

Day 9

We will take a zero day in the village of Lo Manthang. This is chance to rest and explore this

beautiful village.

Day 10

Jeep ride from Lo Manthang back to Jomsom. Depending on the road conditions this can be an

adventure itself.

Day 11

Fly from Jomsom ot Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 12

Tour the most significant religous and cultural sites in Kathmandu with a city guide. Celebratory

dinner with cultural dancing and local roxi spirits.

Things to keep in mind

For domestic trips, you will receive a 100% refund for cancellation of any payments up to 30 days before the trip. Within 30 days you can choose between a 50% refund of payments received or a 100% credit towards another trip.

For international trips outside the United States, you will receive a 100% refund for cancellation of any payments up to 45 days before the trip. Within 45 days you can choose between a 50% refund of payments received or a 100% credit towards another trip.

Client and crew safety is the most important priority for any trip. We will take every precaution possible to mitigate risks and be prepared in the case of an emergency situation on the adventure.

Mitigation Precautions:

A trained first responder will be on the crew

All clients will be given a route briefing the day before and a printed map with contact numbers

Crew members will be carrying GPS spot trackers with SOS buttons

Crew members will be carrying 2-way radios

Homebase crew will be tracking progress of the crew GPS trackers and will be able to contact Search and Rescue if needed
