Retreat Space
Our traditional Lithuanian home is situated on 6 hectares of private land, surrounded by nature, forest and a private lake. This country house has won several awards as the most beautiful and cared after country house in the whole of Lithuania.
Picture yourself under the starry night sky, breathing in fresh air, and listening to the sounds of nature.
The country house has a private lake with a charming little island, plenty of space to walk around, a Japanese-style waterfall, a Moon board (bouldering wall), and an observation tower to watch the sunset.
A range of communal spaces, include hammocks, a dining area with a wood burner for us all to gather, a communal kitchen to prepare coffee & tea, a glass house to read a book or journal, and many other chill-out areas.
Plenty of space for connection, exploration and introspection.
The whole property will be solely rented out for our retreat group ensuring privacy and exclusivity.
Yoga Classes
In total there will be around 11 hours of practices and workshops with two teachers. Expect to playfully challenge yourself, explore the movement of the body, the breath as well as learn something new every day! Morning yoga practices will be more dynamic and energizing (flow style), evening practices more gentle and calm (yin yoga). We will also enjoy one afternoon movement exploration workshop, that is inspired by animal flow, contemporary dance and movement culture.
Sauna ritual 'the four seasons' with Lukas
'The Four Seasons' sauna ritual is an immersive experience with a sauna master Lukas that takes you on a journey through the changing seasons. This ritual involves four rounds of sauna, each representing a different season of the year, along with accompanying natural treatments and activities. From natural body scrub to a honey body mask (from local bees that live in this country house!) and bathing birch made from the trees of Lithuania - this unique experience is one that should not be missed. The Four Seasons sauna ritual was one of the standout moments of the last two Lithuanian retreats, with many participants stating that they would return to Lithuania just for the opportunity to partake in this ritual once again.
Ieva
A passionate climber and movement enthusiast. Ieva received her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate in India and has been deepening her yoga practice in Indonesia and China for several years. Additionally, Ieva has completed a Yin Yoga + Acupressure teacher training course, 'Yoga as a therapy for Back Problems', and Contemporary Yoga Flow training with A. Hocke and A. Husler as well as various workshops with Jenni Rawlings from Shoulder and Hip Applied Anatomy to Nervous System and Pain Science. Ieva is currently studying with Jules Mitchel to receive her 300-hour yoga teacher training certificate in Biomechanics, Pain science, and nervous system. Ieva is also a certified CBT practitioner as well as has attended various courses on Non-Violent Communication.
Her intention is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nourishing space during the retreat where everybody can feel comfortable and at ease. A home away from home.
Absolutely! Most of our Moonlight Yoga retreat participants are coming alone and leaving with new friends in the end of the retreat. Welcoming and friendly environment with like minded people is a fertile ground to connect with other fellow travelers, yoga practitioners and make (possibly) lifelong friendships.
Don't worry if you have never practiced yoga before. This retreat is open for those new to yoga as well as long term practitioners. Different yoga posture variations and movement exploration prompts will be given during the practices, all levels will be catered for and everyone will be playfully challenged and supported in their personal growth: physical and mental.
All the activities are optional and we encourage to listen to your body and do what feels best to you. The days might be long and intensive (yet fulfilling!), therefore it's absolutely fine if you decide to skip a morning class and to sleep in. Please remember, this is your retreat and you are your own boss.
Expect the food to be abundant, wholesome, nutritious and mostly plant based (with local eggs during breakfast). We enjoy buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and also have a dessert once per day as well! Please let us know in advance/ in the time of booking and our chef will make sure to cater for your dietary requirements/ allergies.
