Experience the unending beauty of Patagonia on our ultimate experience for adventure seekers and lovers of luxury travel by gravel bike. Start the journey in Pucon, Chile and ride east across the Andes to Argentina and the town of San Martín de los Andes. From here ride south following the iconic route of the 7 Lakes, arguably one of the most beautiful roads in the world. On our last day we take a boat to the Isla Victoria, ride exquisite single track and finish at the iconic Llao Llao hotel on the shores of the Lago Perito Moreno.

Stay in fabulous 5* & 4* hotels throughout the trip, selected for their mind-blowing locations and to showcase the best of the region’s hospitality. We’ll dine together every night – whether is outside under the stars of summer skies or in renowned restaurants en route. Rated 3 out of 4 our Advanced tours are designed for people who ride regularly and want back to back challenging days on the bike. Riders should be confident riding in a small group, comfortable on extended climbs (at your own pace) and have good bike handling skills on corners and descents. E-bikes are available on all of our tours.

Itinerary

Day 1 Welcome to Chile!

Enjoy a warm welcome from your guides at our first hotel in Pucón. Get to know everyone over a welcome lunch & in the afternoon get the bikes set up & enjoy a short warm-up ride along the River Pucón.

Day 2 Pucón to Coñaripe

Head out through small villages around Palguin Bajo, begin the long gradual climb through Villarica National Park with views of Volcán Villarrica. The ride ends with a long descent from 1300 m to Coñaripe.

Pucon - Coñaripe, 76 km, 1,350 m

Day 3 Coñaripe to the Huilo Huilo Nature Reserve

Today is a rolling ride across undulating terrain. Ride alongside the Lago Neltune. The last climb of the day is 12 km up to the spectacular Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve.

Day 4 Ride across the border to Argentina

Start the day with a 2.5-hour ferry ride across the Lago Pirihueico. Our ride takes us up to the border crossing to Argentina. Ride along Lago Lácar with time to pause & soak up the incredible views at Playa de Yuco. Spend this evening in the town of San Martín de los Andes, a lively town located in the Lanín Nature Reserve.

Day 5 7 Lakes Ride

Ride south on the stunning route of the 7 Lakes. We'll stop to soak up the views at the Mirador Lago Machónico, the Mirador Lago Falkner & the Mirador Del Lago Villarino. Next up is the Mirador Lago Escondido before we reach the shores of the Lago Correntoso. The Lago Espejo is our final call before we find our resting place for the night on the shores of the Lago Nahuel Huapi.

Day 6 Grand Finale to Bariloche

Start the day with a climb into the mountains before looping down to the shores of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. From here, we take a boat across to Victoria Island, where a section of single track awaits. A boat collects us on the other side and we ferry across to our final destination at the Llao Llao hotel. Tonight will be a night to remember. We celebrate the adventure with an exclusive evening dining al fresco with a meal prepared for the group by our guest chef.

Once one guest books a scheduled tour it is guaranteed to run. In the event that a scheduled tour does not meet a minimum group size of 4 guests we reserve the right to reduce the level of support on the trip to one guide. The guide will either drive a support vehicle whilst guests ride self-guided or they will guide the group on the bike if a support vehicle is not required.

The group size will be communicated to guests 1 month before the tour departure date & we will schedule a call with each guest to discuss any changes in the delivery of the trip. Our goal is always to ensure we can deliver the best experience for every rider.

Cancellation policy for custom and private tours

Once booked, custom or private tours are non-refundable but we still offer complete flexibility to move the reservation for the complete group or issue each traveler 100% credit towards future travel up until 90 days before departure. Please see the tour credit & cancellation fee timeline below. Any credit on your account is valid for 24 months from the date of issue.

Custom and private tours are quoted with a minimum group size. In the unlikely event that the minimum group size is not met we reserve the right to update the quoted price per head. Should this not be accepted we will offer tour credits as per the timeline above or, before 61 days to departure, the opportunity to move the trip to dates when everyone can travel.

To book a scheduled, self-guided, custom, or private cycling tour, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 3 months prior to the trip.
