8 Days, Multiple Departures
We also call it our "extended riding package", although it includes fewer nights at the lodge, but two days of pure adventure at our outdoor camp. This is located near the mighty 2482 m - high Anvil Mountain. For this we first load the horses into the trailer and drive to the BC Provincial Park 17 km away. From there we go on a 20 km long ride through the wilderness.
In addition to this riding experience through the natural landscape, the package also convinces with the accomodation for 7 nights. Of these, six are spent in the cozy atmosphere of the lodge and one night is spent directly in the camp.
Your adventure heart will also be awakened during the day trip to the Nemaiah Valley, where wild horses can be observed. Finally, there will be a hike at Chilko Lake, the largest of the alpine lakes in North America. Surrounded by some of British Columbia's highest mountains and overlooking deep blue waters, a gigantic panorama is waiting for you there.
If you want to combine horseback riding, a camp trip and nature sightseeing with the comfort of our lodge, this is the perfect offer for you!
Cindy
Since she first worked for the lodge as a wrangler in the summer of 2010 & 2011, back then for the founders Joe & Sabine, it was her dream to live here permanently.
In the spring of 2019, the time had come. Originally from Lausitz, she left Germany with a laughing and a crying eye. Unfortunately, because of her age, she could no longer take her 30-year-old horse Daisy with her.
Cindy has been riding since early childhood and grew up with horses. Starting with vaulting, she later competed in hunt riding with Daisy for many years. Her motto in life:
"At full gallop into the next adventure." And that is where she would like to take all our guests.

Absolutely, our experienced wranglers will take you into the arena to introduce you to your horse before we go out on our trail ride. Don’t worry, many of our guests come to us as absolute beginners. We also offer the chance to arrange horsemanship lessons at the lodge to build your confidence and skills.
We like to encourage our guests to participate as much as possible with the handling of our horses. We will take the time to help you as much or as little as you need.
Our well-equipped games room, shelves full of books and a TV lounge with lots of western movies are available at all times. For those who enjoy their evenings outside, the deck has a beautiful creek view and games like bocce ball, horseshoes and archery, or try your hand with the lariats to rope our wooden cow. We also have a fully stocked campfire pit where many guests mingle, chat or enjoy a sing song. And don’t forget the stargazing on a clear night.
There is NO cellphone coverage once you leave Williams Lake. Once you arrive in the lodge we do have good WIFI internet available in the main lodge for no extra charge.
In this part of British Columbia the snow sticks around until late March/beginning of April and May can be up and down. Be prepared for possible showers and/or chilly evenings. Typically it's sunny throughout the main summer months (June, July and August until September) reaching temperatures up to 30°C. Our trail rides will be customized for the different weather (if requested, we go out at every weather) to make sure you stay comfortable and get the most out of your guest ranch vacation.
We hit the trails in every weather if you ask us to, no matter if it is sunny, raining or snowing. But we don't urge you to! Alternatively, you can relax in our outside hot tub, have a great time in our games room (feat. table soccer, ping pong, darts, billiard / pool), read a book or watch TV in front of the fireplace in the public lodge area or get in touch with your friends and family back home using the free wireless Internet. What we suggest: Enjoy the stress-free atmosphere, lay back and enjoy life with a smile in good company - Ranch Style!
