Itinerary

Day 1

Our representative will meet you at Dubrovnik Airport and take you to Peljesac peninsula and the town of Orebic, your base for the next two days.

Depending of the arrival time, you will spend the day cycling around. We suggest you go on a coastal route to Viganj and back (40km).

Overnight: Orebic

Day 2 Orebic – Korcula – Orebic cycling route, cycling distance: 45km

You will cycle to the town of Orebić, where you will take the ferry to the ferry port in Korčula (Dominče). The ferry departs almost every hour. From the ferry port you will cycle in the direction of the town of Korčula and along the coast to the picturesque town of Račišće (you will pass by many hidden bays and beaches). You will go back following the same road to get to the ferry port and then go back to the hotel.

Korčula island is not famous only because of Marco Polo, who was born in Korčula in the 15th century, it is also famous for the town walls, its narrow streets, Venetian architecture and Mediterranean lifestyle. This green island with numerous hidden bays and beaches, old villages and clear blue sea is an ideal place for cycling or spending the day in peaceful relaxation.

Day 3 Cycling around the Pelješac peninsula, the village of Potomje – Ston, cycling distance: 50km

Check out from the hotel, transport service (you, your bags and bikes) to the village of Potomje (to avoid the narrow and steep part of the road which is 5 km long). You will start the tour by cycling to the village of Potomje, through the tunnel that connects the valley with the coast, where the famous vineyards of Pelješac are located.

The road passes by small coastal towns Trstenik, Žuljana and Putnikovići, and continues to the town of Ston. This scenic road features numerous places where you can take a break, enjoy sightseeing, wine tasting, swimming or have lunch at the local konoba (a traditional restaurant where they serve local food). Upon your arrival in Ston, you will check in at your hotel and have free time you can use for sightseeing.

Ston was a major fort of the Republic of Ragusa, whose defensive walls were regarded as a notable feat of medieval architecture. The town's inner wall measures 890 meters in length, while the Great Wall outside of the town has a circumference of 5 kilometers. The walls extend to Mali Ston ("Little Ston"), a small town on the northern side of the Pelješac isthmus and to the end of the Bay of Mali Ston, notable for its mariculture.

Day 4 Cycling through the countryside of the Konavle valley

Route: Gruda – Zvekovica – Ljuta – Gruda, circular route of 40–55km

Cycling distance: approx. up to 55km, type of ground: asphalt

Or a longer route: Gruda – Čilipi – Prevlaka – Gruda, a circular route up to 65km

You will spend this day cycling through the farming area around Dubrovnik. The cycling route goes through the valley and along the Ljuta River and passes through the village of Zvekovica (with a possible visit to the town of Cavtat) and the villages in Gornja Banda.

Day 5 Departure

After breakfast (in accordance with your flight time), transport to the Dubrovnik Airport/port / or another address in the Dubrovnik area.

Guests right to change or cancellation

About cancellations: If a guest wants to cancel the services booked, this should be done in a written form (e-mail, fax or mail). The date when the agency received a written notice of cancellation is the basis for making the bill of cancellation costs in the following way:

65 days + prior to trip departure: Refund of what you have paid (trip deposit) minus EUR 50,00 processing fee per person.

64 - 45 days prior to trip departure: we charge 50% of your payments (trip deposit) and EUR 50 processing fee per person.

44 – 31 days prior trip departure, a trip deposit is not refundable

30 days before trip starts, we require trip balance

30 – 10 days prior to trip departure: we charge 75% of your total payments and EUR 50 processing fee per person.

9 - 0 days prior trip departure: No refund.

In case if we need to cancel the booking of the trip, we will refund you PRICE paid in advance for the trip. We do not refund bank transfer expenses or credit card fee.

Tourist Offer

Activ Retreats offers the services of mediation and booking on behalf of the provider of services and to their benefit and in this way provides accommodation and tour packages for guests in accordance with the information found on the web pages of activretreats.com except in the state of emergency and due to unexpected circumstances. Activ Retreats tries to be as specific as possible when describing their tours and trips. By paying for one or more tours and trips from our program, you assume a legal obligation towards us and you confirm that you agree with the general conditions of providing travel arrangements and services which are here presented to you. All the items from the tour package present a legal obligation both for the guest and the agency. These conditions are the basis for resolving any possible disputes that may occur between us, therefore please be sure to read them.

Booking and Payment

Reservations can be made by sending an e-mail, fax message or by coming to our office or the offices of our partner-agencies, which are authorized to sell the tours and trips we offer. When making a reservation the guest has to supply all the information required. After receiving a confirmation of the booking, we will send you a requisition form for making the advance payment. To make the reservation valid it is necessary to make the minimum advance payment in the amount of 30% of the full price. After the receipt of the advance payment, you will receive a voucher containing all the necessary information about the reservation.

Balance of the Service

For tours and other services from our offer you have to pay the remaining part of the total sum at least 21 days before the service is required. On receipt of the entire amount the agency will mail you the original Voucher to your address. You should hand in this Voucher directly at the representative of the agency upon arrival to Croatia.

Insurance

Please be sure that you have valid travel insurance, our company does not provide travel insurance (but it is possible on request).
Health and Fitness: You should be in good physical health to participate in our trips, with trip confirmation you confirm that you take trip activity (cycling, hiking, or sea kayak…) at your own risk. Please discuss any health and medical questions you may have with your doctor prior to your trip and upon arrival with our representative.
