Standard Surf Camp Package in Playa Venao, Panama (5 Days)

Unlimited Rentals: Access to our full quiver of boards. Our Panama surf camp has a wide variety of boards to choose from – for beginners to intermediate and advanced surfers. Longboards, shortboards, mid-size, foamies, SUPs, kayaks… you name it, we’ve got it!

Surf Coaching: 1 long or 2 shorter surf coaching sessions per day depending on tide and conditions. Surf Coaching will be tailored to your skill level.

Surf Photography & Video Analysis: Complementary surf photography to get those shots to share with family and friends. After sessions, you'll be able to sit with your instructor and review your footage from the day. Being able to see yourself surf and find things to work on during your next session is an invaluable tool in your surfing progression.

Fitness Package: Enjoy unlimited access to our brand-new fitness facility. Group classes for yoga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, and functional training, as well as classes for kids!

By air to Panama

Tocumen International Airport, known as “the hub of the Americas” has gone recently gone through major upgrades and is one of the largest, state of the art airports in Latin America providing worldwide access to Panama. Conveniently located just outside of Panama City, you can search with the airport code PTY.

Bus

The most economic options is to travel to Playa Venao is by bus. Busses leave Albrook bus terminal in Panama City every 2 hours untill 7:00pm. Taxi from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) to Albrook bus terminal (45min) costs $35, a bus ride to Las Tabals (4 hour trip) costs $10, a Taxi (1-1/2hr) from Las Tablas to Playa Venao costs $45.

Rental

There are many car rental options close to the airport. It is about a 4 ½ hour beautiful drive through Panama’s countryside to arrive to Beach Break Surf Camp in Playa Venao.

There is also a local rental car company in Pedasi that rents all types of vehicles including scooters, and can assist in airport delivery if needed.

Food

Breakfast: Start each morning with breakfast while watching the waves at our beachfront restaurant. Choose and enjoy from our full delicious menu with plenty of healthy, fresh, and local options.

Accommodation

Simple, clean, beach comfort. Our rooms are beachfront (walk out of your door and into the waves!) and equipped with a private bathroom, hot water, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.

Booking was super easy. The property manager, John, was super responsive throughout the booking process, and we went with the all-inclusive package.

The morning after we arrived (we got in pretty late), the surf camp manager, Brent, immediately found us and got us set-up. We brought my daughter’s surfboard with us, but never needed it, as they had plenty of quality board options for her to use (we’ve had experiences elsewhere where that was not the case).

The rooms were pretty basic, but were plenty comfortable; especially given that we spent nearly all of our time outside. Each room has its own dedicated hammock, there were lounges around the pool and overlooking the beach, and the property never felt crowded (at least while we were there).

I thought the pool appeared small in the pictures I’d seen, but it actually feels super spacious when you’re in it, and it’s deeper than you’d expect. It was very refreshing to have as option, even though you are literally steps from the ocean!

The restaurant, Pizza Gavilán, was fantastic! A wide range of menu options, and ALL of the food was delicious (and I truly mean EVERYTHING we ordered was really good)!!

All-in-all, we had a fantastic holiday! But is it worth the 6 hour drive from PTY? Heck yeah it is! Without a doubt, we will return! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"This is my 5th visit to Beach Break. If you love to surf, eat amazingly good food, and to be surrounded by a wonderful vibe, please consider this place. The management and staff are spot on. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. If you would like to try a surf lesson, Brent is a superb instructor. He will having you surfing before you know it. The food is very good and the service is always prompt. A big shout out of thanks to all the staff to insure we have a terrific experience. There is a reason we have been here 5 times. "I spent 9 days at Beach Break. 5 days surf camp and I liked it so much I extended my stay. The place itself is clean, homely and peaceful. Facilities include a gym offering great classes and a big kitchen.
What makes Beach Break stand out is the care and attention of John and the staff who strive to ensure your stay is memorable. I took surf lessons with Brent which were included in my surf camp package and went from never standing on a board before to catching green waves (with a little help!). He is an amazing teacher with great patience and puts his heart and soul into every class he gives.

Within 24 hours of making your reservation request, there will be a charge of 30% of your total stay to confirm your reservation. The remainder is payable at moment of check in, in cash.

14-3 days before cancellation 50% of the deposit will be refunded.

72 hours before the date of check in there will be no refunds.

Deposits for Holidays or rooms at Sale prices are nonrefundable 30 days before the reservation date.

You may store food in our community kitchen which is available for all guests to use. Outside alcohol is not permitted. We have a full bar on site for client service.

Dogs are accepted with approval for $20 per dog per night.

Check in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 1:00 pm.

Late check out must be requested before 1:00 pm. Late check out is until 3:30 pm for an additional $25.

All payments are due at moment of check in.

Please notify us of arrival after 10:30 pm. In this case full payment and check in must be made before 10:00am the following morning.

At the check in a CC number will be needed in case of any irregularity during the staying.

Any client in the room after 3:30 pm, expect upon manager approval, will be charged for an additional night.

For lost room key there will be a fee of $20.
