Fly into and out of, Matei Airport, also known as Taveuni Airport or Taveuni Island Airport (TVU).

The resort sits in the northern reaches of Vuna village, positioned at the southern tip of Taveuni, celebrated as one of the island’s most picturesque locales. Spread across five acres of elevated oceanfront terrain, this retreat provides breathtaking vistas of the sea and captivating sunset panoramas.

Wetsuit (optional): Should you wish to wear one, wetsuits are available in various options.

Tow float (required): If you haven’t got one yet, there are various options available.

Sandals, aqua shoes, or flip flops: Choose ones you'd be comfortable getting wet if necessary.

Comfortable sportswear: Optional for activities like running, stretching, or yoga.

Sports bottle: As part of our quest to reduce plastic usage, we kindly ask all guests to bring their own water bottle. Alternatively, you can purchase a reusable water bottle during the tour.

Upon arrival, visitors from most countries are automatically granted a 4-month visa. Non-residents of Fiji must present a valid passport upon entry, which should remain valid for at least six months beyond the intended duration of stay. Keep in mind that visa regulations are subject to change, so we recommend checking your own visa requirements before traveling.

During your group trip with us, our dedicated leaders take on multifaceted responsibilities to ensure a well-rounded and enriching experience. Serving as itinerary navigators, they assist with travel logistics during the trip. In the water, their guidance is tailored to the group's skill level, leading swims that range from exploring swim trails to discovering coastal landscapes. Safety remains a top priority, with leaders implementing vigilant measures and protocols for a secure and enjoyable swim. Beyond logistics and safety, our leaders are instrumental in building a sense of community and fostering connections among participants and locals that extend beyond the trip. In essence, our leaders play a crucial role in setting the tone for each day's adventure, transforming your swim journey into a comprehensive and unforgettable swim trip experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday

AM: Arrive at Taveuni & Check-in at the resort

A representative will be there to greet you when you arrive at the resort (please inform us of your arrival time for a prompt reception). They'll give you a quick tour of the resort so you have time to settle into your accommodation before joining us for lunch and a safety briefing.

PM: Acclimation Swim & Dinner

Following lunch, there will be a short acclimatization swim in the bay in front of the resort. If desired, we can also film you above and below the water to assist our guides in refining your stroke technique throughout the week.

In the evening, join us for sundowners and dinner, offering a chance to acquaint ourselves before the week's activities commence. Should you need to arrive later in the day, just let us know – we'll accommodate your schedule accordingly.

Day 2: Sunday

AM: Coastal Swim

After breakfast, embark on an easy coastal swim (approx 2km) along Taveuni's coastline. Navigate through a labyrinth of lava flow with stunning hard and soft corals, encountering tropical reef species.

Enjoy a lunch at Taveuni and get some rest before more swim opportunities.

PM: Vuna Reef

Later in the afternoon, head out to Vuna Reef for our second swim of the day, exploring the vibrant marine life and colorful reefs of this pristine location.

Day 3: Monday

AM: Rainbow Reef Adventure

This morning, embark on a journey to the legendary 32km long Rainbow Reef, just a scenic 30-minute boat ride from the resort. Swim along the reef edge for approximately 3km, immersing in the abundance of tropical fish, hard and soft corals.

Lunch on the nearby white sand beach of Vanua Levu before heading back out for more swimming.

PM:

Return to Rainbow Reef for a second swim (approx 2km) before heading back to Paradise Taveuni.

Day 4: Tuesday

AM: Dolphin Bay Exploration

After breakfast, journey north to Dolphin Bay. Swim with the currents along the reef, observing the snapper and trevally below you.

Lunch and rest at the resort before the evening activities.

PM: Taveuni Activities

Join the Taveuni team for activities such as frond weaving and coconut catching, or simply relax before reconvening for dinner in the evening.

Day 5: Wednesday

AM: Revisit Dolphin Bay

After breakfast, let's head back up to Dolphin Bay for another exciting adventure!

PM: Refuel with lunch back at the resort and partake in any of the fun activities going on at Taveuni or spend an evening relaxing.

Day 6: Thursday

AM: Swimming Bouma National Park

Get ready for an exciting day as we journey to the Bouma National Park area. This morning, we'll dive into the adventure by swimming alongside the Lavena Coastal path.

PM: Bouma National Park Waterfalls & Rockslide

After a satisfying lunch, we'll explore the national park on foot, making our way to Taveuni's famous swimming up waterfall, where we can cool off and rejuvenate. Conditions permitting, there will also be an opportunity to experience Taveuni's natural rockslide before we return to the resort for our final evening.

Day 7: Friday

Departure Day

AM (Early Flight Departures):

Those on the early flight will depart at 6:30 am. Please ensure you're ready for departure at the designated time.

AM (Afternoon Flight Departures):

For those on the afternoon flight, wake up and savor a leisurely breakfast followed by a refreshing swim before departure.

Things to keep in mind

You will be required to pay deposit per person for the booking to be confirmed.

A deposit will secure your booking/room.

The final balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the confirmed tour and/or cruise commencement date but can be paid instead of a deposit.
