Cancellation and refund policy:

We charge cancellation fees for cancellations. These cancellation charges reflect the costs that we cannot reimburse in the event of cancellation, even if you have to do so due to illness, injury or personal emergencies. The fees charged reflect the expenses incurred in administering your reservation and planning your attendance. Please note that we do not issue refunds for unused portions of your trip, late arrival or early departure.

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your trip, your refund will be determined according to the following formula:

90 days or more: $100 per person
90-61 days: full deposit
60-30 days: 50% of the travel fee
29 days or less: No refund

Conclusion of contract

With your tour registration, which can be made in writing, verbally or by telephone, you as a participant offers us the conclusion of the adventure contract and thus the booking, bindingly.

This booking is made for you and for all other participants. The applicant is responsible for the contractual obligations of all participants.

By registering, the participant accepts the terms and conditions.

The contract is concluded with the written confirmation by e-mail from the Activ Retreats.

Down payment

If the registration is confirmed by us, a deposit is due within one week after receipt of the confirmation. This deposit is used to secure your place.
The deposit amount is 30% of the total amount for 1-2 day tours. The remaining 70% is due 60 days before departure. If the deposit is not paid on time, your place will be cancelled.

Cancellation insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel cancellation/interruption insurance to cover your costs if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to medical reasons, travel delay, lost luggage or other unforeseen emergencies.

To avoid disappointment and expense should you have to cancel your trip, we strongly recommend that you take out some form of insurance coverage.

Cancellation by us

Activ Retreats reserves the right to cancel, interrupt or change a trip due to unforeseen weather conditions, unsafe conditions, government orders, strikes, war or war-like conditions, epidemics, natural disasters or other circumstances.

If the minimum number of participants specified in the advertisement is not reached up to 1 week before the start of the event, we are entitled to cancel the event.

In the rare event that we have to cancel a trip, all payments received to date will be refunded, including the non-refundable portion of your deposit. Alternatively, an attempt will be made to arrange an alternative date if possible.

The participant has no right to compensation as a result. Further claims against us, in particular claims for damages, are excluded.

If additional costs arise for the participants as a result of the cancellation, these must be borne by the participants themselves.
The cancellation from us takes place via e-mail or telephone contact. It is the responsibility of the participants themselves to provide a mobile phone number and e-mail address at which they can be reached at short notice.

We recommend arriving in Interlaken 1-2 days prior to trip start.
