This all inclusive retreat will run 1pm Friday - Sunday 1pm from an exclusively hired 11 bedroom Snowdon Ranger Lodge, on the edge of Llyn Cwellyn Lake.

We've paired with local swim guides to bring you Snowdonia's best kept secret spots for inspiring swims and refeshing dips. Rivers, pools, waterfalls and lakes will make this our most inspired retreat yet.

Mel, Becky, Rich, and Ali

Mel, Becky, Rich, and Ali

Mel is a qualified Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Swim Coach and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Program.

Becky, was a hospitality assistant before completing her Beach Lifeguard and Open Water Lifeguard qualification in 2023.

Rich is a Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Lifeguard, and Open Water Swim Coach and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Program. Rich also delivers the whole suite of lifeguard and water safety awards to The Royal Lifesaving Society as a National Trainer Assessor.

Ali is a Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Lifeguard and Open Water Swim Coach and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Program.


Itinerary

Day 1: North Wales awaits

 We meet at our first swim location at 1 pm, likely to be a glorious lake in the lee of Mount Snowdon. This guided swim and swim clinic will give you a chance to improve your stroke or try a new stroke under the supervision of our qualified and experienced swim coaches. 

Be sure to bring your hot drinks flasks fully charged to accompany the homemade cake before we head to the accommodation for rooming. 

Dinner with table wine will be followed by our famous 'Tame the Tides' talk in the lounge. 

Day 2: Wake me up for waterfalls

Early birds will be wowed by an outstanding sunrise dip with warm croissants.

A hearty, healthy breakfast will be followed by a drive out to a spectacular Snowdonia waterfall, be prepared to visit an Instagram worthy shot! 

An optional afternoon hike around Snowdon will be followed by a sunset dip in Snowdon's clear waters.  

Day 3: A spell-bounding end

Pancakes for breakfast will be followed by a short drive out to Elephant Rock, this incredible lake sits at the foot of Snowdon. A point to point swim will be possible for those who want a challenge!

Homemade lemon drizzle cake will end a perfect few days in the mountains.

Things to keep in mind

Bookings are fully refundable within 14 days.

In the event of cancellation by the client, the booking is fully refundable on the condition that your booking has been re-sold.

In the event of illness including Coronavirus, your booking will be transferred to a later date. A sick note or isolation note is suitable proof of illness or infection.

In inclement weather, alternative swims/activities will be provided, in this event Activ Retreats, would not offer refunds.

You are responsible for your own health and safety between swims. We do not take responsibility for your personal items.

Activ Retreats may take photos and videos for marketing purposes. If you would prefer to not be in them, please let us know beforehand.

We  offer a sample itinerary upon booking. This is based upon good weather and sea state at those locations and participant's swimming ability being strong enough to complete the swim route without cause for concern.

The coaches/ guides/ lifeguards work to clear environmental parameters. If forecasted weather falls outside of these parameters, locations will be used. other swim

If an individual's swimming ability is not strong enough, other routes/ swims will be recommended, some of these may involve walking to agreed meeting points at your risk.

In inclement weather, alternative swims/ activities will be provided, in this event The Host would not offer refunds.
