Why Thailand?
Set away from the nightlife and temptation, the camp is located in the south-central part of Phuket in Chalong. Clear from the overcrowded tourist resorts, the training facility backs on to the Thai jungle where we are close to Chalong Temple, and overlooked by the big Buddha off to the distance.
This really is a beautiful part of the island.
You will work hard on your fitness holiday, and you will deserve some pampering. That's exactly what you get with the luxury boutique accommodation available. With private ensuites, set in landscaped Thai gardens and access to multiple swimming pools it's perfect to unwind and relax.
Phuket is home to some incredible 5-star hotels and resorts and you will have the opportunity to join us on excursions, whether it's taking advantage of the infinity pools or a superb lunch. The experience is well worth the added expense.
For the duration of your stay you will be staying close to camp, in an environment very much focused on training. Nicely secluded we escape distraction but should you want a night away there is plenty of good nightlife in and around Phuket Town, just a few minutes by taxi.
There’s a great atmosphere at the camp and everyone encourages each other to push hard.
Training
The first thing to mention is that no two days will be the same. Also depending on your own personal fitness goals timetables can vary depending on the fitness programmes you select.
We are very proud of our roster of fitness trainers. We boast some of the top fitness trainers in the industry. Our trainers are from all over the world and have been hand-picked based on their experience and skill set. Whether you are not fit in the slightest and looking to improve your fitness or a professional athlete our roster of trainers can give you the push you need.
Travelling alone
Most people who attend the camp, are independent travellers and arrive at the camp on their own. If you are concerned about traveling solo, don't be. There is such a social atmosphere at the camp, and it is a really supportive environment where everyone gets to know each other very quickly. Serious physical exercise in a group can be quite a bonding experience we assure you! So really it does not take long for people to get to know one another.

While many boot camp operators exist, no other company operates their own resorts in multiple locations with rolling start dates and guaranteed groups 365 days a year. The camp is located in the south-central part of Phuket, in Chalong. This is about 10 minutes by taxi from the beaches. It's close to Chalong Temple and is a beautiful part of the island. Away from tourist overcrowding, the training facility backs on to the Thai jungle and is overlooked by the big Buddha off to the distance.
Due to the nature of the Thailand Bootcamp, we often get asked "What kind of results will I see?" This is an impossible question to answer because everyone is different. People have different metabolisms, different work rates and how long you stay for.
We have had some clients lose 80kg, but the reality is a lot depends on how dedicated you are and what your fitness goals are.
The most important thing to consider, is that you have an incredible opportunity to really make it happen.
You have all the facilities, support, encouragement, know how and plan to make it happen. If you apply yourself, give yourself time and you step out of your normal day-to-day environment, you will have every chance.
So what can you achieve? Well, it's down to you but we guarantee you that this is one of the best opportunities you will ever have to make your fitness goals happen.
Yes! 90% of our clients join the boot camp on their own. In fact far from being a problem, we would encourage people to do so. It's a very social environment at the camp and you will make friends very quickly.
This is up to you and depends on how much time you have to devote to your training holiday. The vast majority of people wish they had trained for longer. Many people extend and it is not unusual for people to fly home and come back again several weeks later.
It's a fantastic opportunity to train. And because it's such a social atmosphere at the camp, it's a great way to meet people. We would advise trying to go for at least two weeks, although the average people spend at the camp is six.
In two weeks, we will give you a solid base to improve. You will learn all of the techniques and build quite an effective workout arsenal. You will physically feel better but if you want to see noticeable physical results, come for at least four weeks.
Absolutely. We advise you to book well ahead because we do book out frequently. You can hold your place on the programme with a deposit of just $263. You will need to pay the full balance 12 weeks prior to arrival.
Yes, you can track calories and macros from the healthy menu. We have 25 different healthy dishes to choose from and you will learn more about that at the nutrition seminar.
No matter what your fitness goals, with a varied selection of fitness programmes available you will reach them. Here's a few of our classes...
Cross Training has become extremely popular in recent years by utilizing a variety of functional training exercises, equipment and methods. The Cross Training class is designed to increase every factor of a participant's fitness, strength, speed, power, flexibility, agility and cardio. In this class coaches will be using a high level of intensity and pace. Variety will be a big factor in how classes will be programmed, constantly changing the body's system. This class is 45 minutes long and ore intense than the other classes. You can choose to scale this class by using light or heavier weights and the increasing the intensity.
Strength & Conditioning is where you will learn the exercise techniques that will lay the foundation for future training. Beginners and advanced athletes can attend this class. We emphasize traditional resistance exercises and basic cardiovascular techniques. The goal of this class is to build up strength, stamina and form to be able to advance your current fitness level. A variety of equipment and methods will be used to improve your strength, power and stamina. Class intensity will be high while also introducing techniques for more experiences athletes as well as for the beginners. You can choose to scale this class by using light or heavier weights and the increasing the intensity.
Olympic Lifting: Perfect your form and get the most out of your lift. Every Wednesday at 3pm we focus on the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. It involves participants completing two separate lifts; the snatch and the clean and jerk. In this class you will learn how to perform these two lifts, increasing power, speed, flexibility and strength.
The class is recommended for those who have little or no experience with theses lifts. Coaches will put heavy emphasis on obtaining proper form and execution before you start to really increase weight used in these exercises.
Body 360 is our version of BodyFit. It is an all-over cardio and body pump workout. Sessions will never be the same from day to day, so you hit every muscle group and maximise weight loss and fitness. A complete beginner to the advanced can use this class. Every exercise is explained beforehand and carefully monitored during the workout to make sure a good form is maintained. You can choose to scale this class by using light or heavier weights and the increasing the intensity.
Yoga. It goes without saying that yoga is amazing for your flexibility. Completely optional but a great mix in with your workout routine. You have unlimited yoga session access.
We practice traditional sivananda yoga and yoga for athletes. Ultimate Fitness enjoys a purpose-built yoga studio. Our yoga classes run five days a week and are taught by fully qualified and vastly experienced instructors.
Open Mat Sessions. The whole camp is at your disposal to do our own workout. Use all the equipment the camp offers like battle ropes, assault course, med ball, torsonater, Olympic weightlifting bars with plates you can drop and a bunch of free weights so you can do your own WOD (workout of the Day) by yourself or team up with some of the other clients.

There’s a great atmosphere at the camp and everyone encourages each other to push hard. Everyone is very supportive and usually, the person who finishes last gets the most encouragement. Very different from working out in a normal gym. It’s really addictive!
You can bring supplements with you, but please make sure these are clearly labelled. We also have our own Health Store on site where you can purchase supplements.
Every Saturday the whole crew hit a beautiful beach and do an early workout. The perfect way to round of the week of intense training and enjoy paradise. Here is where we like to show our guest just exactly what makes this such a beautiful place to train. Not only do we offer great beach training classes but we also like to make sure you know all the best places for your daily runs, hikes, and general relaxation.
The training can be intense so it’s good to have your downtime as well. Typically Sunday is a rest day, and every couple of weeks we organize a new excursion for people to join. This can be visits to stunning beaches on some of the islands surrounding Phuket. Lunches in some of the beautiful high-class resorts in Phuket. Often we take full advantage of infinity pools and five-star hotels! These excursions are organized but not included in the cost of the programme. For instance, often you will have to pay for your lunch in one of the resort so expect to budget around $22 to $107 for this. But it’s well worth the expense when you see some of the locations we go to.
Post-workout nutrition is a highly important factor whether you are looking to increase muscle mass or lose weight. So it’s good to know that there is a full range of health supplements, vitamins and pre, during and post-workout nutrition available at the camp. You are very welcome to bring this with you if you have a particular brand that you like, however, everything is available for you.
The main brands that we are carrying are optimum nutrition, muscle farm and muscle tech. If you are new to using workout supplements do not worry, we have expert nutritionists available to give you some guidance and appoint in the right direction. You obviously don’t need to use pre-and-post workout supplements if you don’t want to, but they can be very effective to help you hit your fitness goals a lot quicker. Pre-workout supplements can fire you up, maximize your endurance and keep you going during your workouts. Especially in Thailand with the pace of training is full-on and it is a very hot humid environment.
Post workout supplements are essential for help you repair damaged muscle tissue, enabling your body to recover quicker meaning you are ready to smash out your next workout the following day.
