Itinerary

Day 1 Welcome!

Meet the cycling team in Valle and head out for an optional warm-up ride of around 61 km.

Eat: Dinner at the hotel

Sleep: Hotel

Cycle: Warm-up ride in Valle - 40 km, 600 m

Day 2 From Valle to Santillana del Mar

Day 2 kicks off with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before saddling up and setting off on the first leg of the tour, from Valle to Santillana del Mar. Enjoy lunch en route and fuel up once again with an evening meal with the team. Sleep in Santillana del Mar.

Day 3 Into Picos de Europa

Ride point-to-point from Santillana del Mar into the Picos de Europa

Cycle: Santillana del Mar to Picos - 110 km, 1,700 m

Day 4 The Puerto de La Reina

Fuel up on a big breakfast at the hotel, before setting off for today's route, which will finally pass over the Puerto de la Reina, ending up in the village of Cangas de Onis.

Eat: Buffet breakfast, lunch en route and dinner at the hotel

Cycle: Picos to Cangas de Onis - 122 km, 2,200 m

Day 5 Lagos de Covadonga

On day 5, loop ride to Lagos de Covadonga, a climb made famous by the Vuelta España, Make it epic and continue down the vally to take on the mystical climb to Sotres.

Eat: Buffet breakfast, lunch en route and dinner at the hotel

Cycle: Loop ride to Lagos de Covadonga - 42 km, 1,200 m

Day 6 Oviedo

Ride point to point from Cangas de Onis to Oviedo, see the landscapes change as we ride west on backroads.

Cycle: Cangas de Onis to Oviedo - 122 km, 2,500 m

Day 7 El Angliru

On day 7 take on a loop ride with a dramatic finale on the tough slopes of El Angliru.

Cycle: Loop ride to El Angliru - 85 km, 2,600 m

Day 8 Departures from Oviedo

Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before departing from Oviedo.

Once a guest books a scheduled tour, it is guaranteed to run. However, if the minimum group size of 4 guests is not met, we reserve the right to reduce the level of support, providing only one guide for the trip. The guide will either drive a support vehicle while guests ride self-guided or lead the group on the bike if no support vehicle is necessary.

Group size and any changes to support will be communicated 1 month before departure, and a call will be scheduled to discuss details with each guest. Our priority is to ensure the best experience for every rider.

Cancellation Policy for Self-Guided, Custom & Private Tours
Once booked, custom or private tours incur a cancellation fee, but we still offer flexibility. You can move the reservation for the entire group or receive 100% credit toward future travel up until 90 days before departure. Please see the tour credit and cancellation fee timeline below. Any credit issued is valid for 24 months from the date of issue.

Custom and private tours are quoted based on a minimum group size. If this minimum is not met, we reserve the right to update the quoted price per head. If the revised price is not acceptable, we will offer tour credits as per the timeline above or, before 61 days to departure, the option to move the trip to alternate dates.

Cancellation Policy for Bike Hire & Girona Services
Book with confidence. Any credit on your account does not have an expiry date. No refunds or credits are available once the rental has started. If we need to cancel a rental, a 100% refund will be provided.

Girona Services include, but are not limited to, guide hire, airport transfers, food experiences, day trips, and vehicle support. If any of these services are purchased as part of a tour package, the Custom & Private Tour Cancellation Policy applies (see above).

To book a scheduled, self-guided, custom, or private cycling tour, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 3 months prior to the trip.
