Think multi-stage car Rally not Formula One™. Think ultra-trail not road-running marathon.

The concept includes the idea that swimmers from the same continent as the venue are at least able to compete and enjoy the event without taking more than a long weekend out of their schedule.

So we’ve tried to choose venues that are not too difficult to get to (there are some amazing places to swim that we have to ignore on this point alone), that allow you to travel at the last minute, register, and warmup swim Thursday late afternoon, nail 4 amazing days of swimming and friendship building, celebrate on Monday lunchtime and be back home Monday night or first thing Tuesday. Of course, you can instead chill, and enjoy the amazing venues we go to before and after too…

Swim a distance of 33.3km spread over 4 days in a timed event format, point to point, in adventure swim mode (we hate laps!), with up to 200 other like-minded swimmers from all over the world.  World Class safety wrapper, premium support services and super high-quality hotels - you will feel like a pro-swimmer! Open to swimmers of all levels of experience in the open water - cutoff times based on 2km/h. SOLO or DUO RELAY format (split the distance with a friend).

Swimming Conditions

Mid-May could deliver us anything, above and in the water - from crisp mornings to hot sun-baked afternoons, and according to the weather in the first part of May, 17C water that could easily be heated by early summer sun to above 20C. Wetsuits optional and maybe desired for some certainly, but equally a great early season swim for skins too!

Particularity of #3

The particularity of the Croatian event will be a start in the ancient town of Stari Grad, famous for its Pharos Swim Marathon, but a well earned finish celebration 33.3km later, in the beautiful and lively harbour of Hvar Town with a hotel change between the two (don't worry you won't be swimming with your luggage!). Whilst point-to-point is our aim on all 33.3’s, this time we’ll very much be on a journey from one venue to another via your water power!

And if you have more time, before or after our recommendation:
Spend a night in Split or Dubrovnik, or extra days on Hvar Island or nearby islands of Mlijet, Korcula, or Vis... all accessible by fast ferry from Hvar Town.

The location

The magical island of Hvar (Croatia) will host our ‘early season’ European kickoff. A region steeped in history, and populated by hundreds of beautiful islands of all sizes, #3 will challenge you with a tour around the western end of Hvar Island, between these two ancients towns.
