Nestled along the beautiful Beaverkill River in New York, this retreat promises a gorgeous, relaxing atmosphere in a historic fly fishing setting.

Learn fly fishing basics onsite at the Beaverkill Valley Inn. Spend a day fishing at the Catskills Fly Fishing Center & Museum. Meet other women and enjoy a stress-free, comfortable, non-judgy atmosphere as we partake in the gorgeous surroundings and rejuvenate.

    All meals are provided by the inn from dinner on Friday through lunch on Monday. This is a farm-to-table establishment with delicious food - you'll love it!

    Alcoholic drinks are not included except for the Meet & Greet on Friday night (we will buy your first drink!) and the dinner on Sunday (we will buy your first drink!).

    Dress for the elements! NY can be gorgeous in the fall but also very cold. We might even get to see some leaves changing color! Although warmer conditions are not uncommon, please bring warm clothing. Keep an eye on the weather leading up to the trip so you know what to pack. You will not need to dress up unless you want to. Casual and comfortable is perfectly acceptable! We may venture to a local establishment for a beverage but will play it by ear.

      Dylan and Emily

      Dylan started fishing in 2010 shortly after losing her husband and first love, Tony. He often fished on the way home from work and always walked in the door with a smile on his face. She decided to carry on his legacy by hitting the water using his gear. Dylan fell in love with everything about this sport - hanging out where the fish live, finding catharsis in each cast, meditating within nature, healing her heart through action… She never looked back.

      Emily grew up wandering the trails of Rocky Mountain National Park on horseback. The spirit of the Colorado mountains burrowed itself into her heart. She has since grown into a fierce defender of National Parks & Public Lands with her understanding of the priceless value those natural spaces provide... These cherished spots that have left permanent marks of inspiration on the hearts and souls of countless artists, poets, dreamers, leaders & kindred spirits from all walks of life.



      Itinerary

      Arrival

      Check in at the Inn, meet & greet the crew & guests at the onsite bar. Relax, and settle in for the evening.

      Day 1

      Start your first day off with a wonderful breakfast to prepare yourself for a day of fly fishing basics including gear overview, entomology overview, river etiquette, proper fish handling, and casting lessons on-land and water. We wrap up in the afternoon and you can stay on site and check out the resort or head to one of the nearby towns to explore.

      Day 2

      Get ready for a visit to the Catskills Fly Fishing Center & Museum. The inn will give us a sacked lunch to take on our trip. We'll meet with Ali, Director of the CFFCM for a tour to learn the history of fly fishing in the area. Then we'll fish the Beaverkill River onsite! Upon our return, we'll meet over happy hour to unwind and recap the day's adventure. We'll gather for dinner at the Inn to celebrate our memories made together.

      Finish off strong with a gorgeous lunch before we send you off.

      Things to keep in mind

      A non-refundable $500 deposit is due at time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the trip arrival date and will be collected via invoice. Should you cancel your trip, a refund will be made only if your space can be filled, minus a 10% service charge. We make no refunds nor assume any additional expenses if weather or any reason beyond our control renders you unable to complete a trip or any other part of an itinerary. We reserve the right to cancel a trip because of low enrollment or other circumstances and will refund all funds paid to us in such a case.
