8 Days, Multiple Departures
Yoga is a key element nourishing our lifestyle of presence, enjoyment, and freedom. We believe Yoga and wellness for all is the key to taking care of ourselves, our surroundings, and our community as a whole.
The retreat place has three ocean-view yoga shalas offering a 360-degree immersion into the lush Nicaraguan jungle. Join us for a yoga retreat or training with our passionate team and wake up to experience the magic of Southern Nicaragua.
A week-long yoga retreat is the best way to experience the beauty of what Nicaragua, has to offer.
In our Main Yoga Shala you start your morning with an invigorating practice and end your day with a majestic sunset and meditative practice. You’ll be nourished with the best & most fresh delicious farm-to-table meals and can treat yourself with daily spa & energy healing treatments.
Breathwork, ceremony, and meditation are important aspects of our weekly experience, liberating and expanding your energy.
We begin and end most days with yoga. We firmly believe in the incredible benefits that come from practicing yoga twice a day. While we understand the importance of switching things up, like we do on Saturday mornings with our Myofascial Release Workshops, rest assured that you won’t miss your daily dose of zen.
Our team of exceptional yoga teachers from around the world brings a variety of styles to our sessions, ensuring a dynamic experience. While the specific styles may vary based on our current facilitators during your retreat, you can generally expect consistent timings week after week. Join us on this journey of inner peace and wellness.
Though we are blessed with natural beauty, what makes our place a one-of-a-kind gem is our team and community. While most resorts scout talent from far and wide to find the skill sets they require, at Costa Dulce we understand the value of creating prosperity for our neighborhood.
Though there has not been a history of tourism in our area, we have helped our neighbors evolve and learn, with extremely rewarding results. Our team is now one of the best in the business with 100% of our local staff coming from the rural villages that surround Costa Dulce, where alternative employment opportunities are extremely limited.
You will likely find yourself in a happy place with little desire to go anywhere outside of our scheduled excursions. But if you want to travel further than your feet can take you, we offer transportation services to most locations throughout the country which can be easily arranged with our reception, or for the more adventurous souls there is the local bus.
The busiest season for turtles hatching is May-Feb, however, it is most likely that you will have the opportunity to see baby turtles regardless of when you visit.
Whether on land or sea, there are many things to do right here, including hiking local trails, snorkeling, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, and of course, yoga, spa, world-class surfing, boogie boarding, ocean swimming, body surfing and just relaxing on a hammock with a book.
In addition, we can help arrange a variety of off-site adventures to various tourist attractions such as a nearby zip-line canopy tour, catamaran tour, the colonial city of Granada, the tropical island of Ometepe in Lake Nicaragua, the Masaya Volcano and Artisan Market and the village of San Juan del Sur.
There are surf instructors and board rentals based right on our beach, Playa Escameca. You can also venture out straight from our beach for snorkeling, or we can arrange a boat trip so you can check out various places along the neighboring shores to enjoy the underwater world. Please bring your gear from home. Additionally, we can arrange both on and offshore fishing expeditions.
No, we do not offer room service and in fact, we discourage our guests from eating anything in the rooms. It attracts the local critters.
Yes. We want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay with us, and that includes dining experiences. Please let us know your specific needs prior to arrival so we can best accommodate you.
We have a beach break in front of our resort which is typically best from mid to high tide. Playa Yankee is a 15-minute walk and offers peaky A-frames and more barrels. Playa Hermosa, Romanso, and Tamarindo are all within 20 minutes drive.
We want our guests to be as comfortable as possible; however we are mindful of our electricity use. All of our cabins are situated and designed to take full advantage of the near constant breezes on our hilltop. They each have a powerful ceiling fan as well which makes a great alternative to air conditioning and keeps everyone comfortably cool.
We provide purified water for drinking. Although you can safely bathe and brush your teeth with the tap water, we don’t recommend drinking a glass full.
Officially check in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 11:00 am. You are welcome to arrive earlier and leave later however we can not guarantee access to your room before or after our established check in/out times.
