Learn the mindful running form and pacing techniques you need to run efficiently and confidently on trails.

You don’t have to worry about being the slowest one at this retreat! This four-day women-only mindful running retreat is ideal for those who are either new to running, returning to running after an injury or layoff, or who prefer to run short distances. All of the runs (which are between three and six miles) employ a run-walk approach, so no matter your pace you’ll be able to go at pace that’s comfortable for you. With the support of our professional running guides, you can relax and enjoy the running without having to navigate or worry about logistics.

This retreat is ideal for those who are either new to running, returning to running after an injury or layoff, or who prefer to run short distances. Learn the mindful running form and pacing techniques you need to run efficiently and confidently on trails.

Through our practical clinics, informative discussions, mindful movement and free time for quiet contemplation, you’ll develop a valuable set of tools for establishing a consistent, sustainable running practice.

This retreat is Level I. That means it's for you if:  

You can run or alternate running and walking up to 6 miles at time.

You can are Ok with brief exposure to heights or narrow trails.

You don't need experience with running trails, but already have some experience with running on roads.

You are able to run or walk on short uphills and downhills.

You are not a fast runner; slow is OK on this retreat! .

You have or are willing to purchase trail running shoes and a hydration pack or belt that can hold 1L of water.

This retreat is not recommended if you only want to hike or walk the entire time.

Mindful Running is this retreat's defining experience. Your dedicated Retreat Leader will lead you through experiences on and off the trail that are designed to help you discover how to run with more ease and flow. And if you've never run trails before, you'll learn how to adapt your road running technique for this new terrain. And if you're an experienced trail runner, you'll take your running to a whole new level of efficiency and joy. Connect more deeply with nature, yourself and other women through this powerful practice that provides you with skills and insights to maximize the stress-reducing effects of running.

We specialize in trail running- and wellness-based travel experiences that support women’s overall health and well-being. Our programs feature mindful running techniques that help women run better while maximizing running’s stress-reducing effects on the body and mind. Set in some of the world’s most inspiring natural destinations known to runners, each itinerary is an immersion in nature and wellness experiences such as yoga, hot springs, or spa.

We include the specific elements you need to have a wonderful retreat and leave out anything that doesn’t support that mission.
