Portugal's Rota Vicentina or Fisherman's Trail, so named because it follows trails used by locals to get to the beaches and the best fishing spots, comprises a total of 141 miles of splendid singletrack along cliffs and secluded beaches. If you love dramatic scenery with secluded sandy bays, sea stacks and cliffs, appreciate fresh fish and charming guesthouses and hostels with mouthwatering traditional Portuguese cuisine, then the Fisherman's Trail is for you! It's quite possible this adventure may become one of your all-time favorites! It's still relatively unknown, but as you'll soon find out, it's perfect for trail runners and adventurers alike.

The Fisherman's Trail traverses the wild southwesternmost shore of the Atlantic Coast of Portugal, the last bit of land Portuguese explorers saw as they sailed out into the "great unknown." These explorers left behind lovely white-blue painted villages that we'll explore each day along the trail. This tour offers a perfect balance of physical challenge and cultural immersion, as you traverse breathtaking landscapes steeped in history and natural wonder. This tour promises awe-inspiring views, meaningful encounters, and memories to last a lifetime.
Join us in 2026 for this unique trip along the rugged southwestern coast of Portugal!
