I first tried surfing at the age of 12. I got my first surfboard in a surf shop in Cocoa Beach, Florida. My mom was talking to this lady who said her son was a pro surfer and that I should get the traction pad with a big “K” because it was one of her son’s company.

I was 15 years old and on a family vacation to the East Coast of the USA when everything started from me. Seeing people surfing at the beach made me feel like my bodyboard wasn’t exciting anymore. Now, I wanted to surf. So my parents brought me to this surf shop to get some information. After asking us where we were from, the guys at the surf shop told us there was a “standing wave” in my hometown, Montreal!

Let me tell you how I got to where I am today. I am from a small Village in Cornwall, England. I grew up by the beach on the south coast and I have always loved the ocean from a young age. It wasn’t until I was in my mid-teens that I was introduced to surfing by my two brothers.

I started floating on a board when I was a baby. My dad was obsessed with surfing and kind of forced me into it when I was a kid haha. I’m glad he did, surfing changed my life…

I started taking my own waves at the age of 8 and at 12 years old I would ride my bicycle to different surf beaches around my house in Mar del Plata. From 14 to 18, I competed on all the national junior competitions.

I am grateful that I was blessed to live by the sea. I grew up in Cabarita Beach in Northern NSW, Australia, in a small surfing village surrounded by friends and family who shared the same passions. I was introduced to the surf as a baby even before I could swim; Dad plonked me on a longboard with goggles and floaties and pushed me out onto the river to surf the ripples from the incoming tide.

I grew up in Cape May, New Jersey aka South Jersey. When I was young the beach was my playground so naturally, I was drawn to the ocean. I started boogie boarding and surfing at a really young age. It grew into an addiction. Since then I couldn’t stay away from surfing and the adventures surrounding it.

I grew up in Gerringong, NSW (Australia) and have always been a water baby. When I was 10 years old, a family friend turned up at the house with a retro multicoloured surfboard he had picked up from a garage sale.

I am from a small village called Samara. I started bodyboarding when I was 4 years old. At 6 years old I saw Canadian guys use an old surfboard and thought it looked way more radical than what I was doing on a bodyboard. When I was 7 years old my aunt gave me a surfboard.

I grew up in the English surf capital, Newquay, England. Ever since I could remember I’ve been in and around the sea, catching my first wave on a surfboard at just 4 years old. I started to compete when I was 10. Competition gave me the opportunity to travel all over the world until the age of 21. Due to injury I stopped competing and now enjoy free surfing in my own time.
