You don’t have to worry about being the slowest one at this retreat! This four-day women-only retreat is ideal for those who are either new to running, returning to running after an injury or layoff, or who prefer to run short distances.

Heal your runner's body through healing spa treatments

Learn the essentials of mindful running for better flow and efficiency on trails

Find connection and camaraderie with like-minded women

Playfully indulge in the joy of cooking with a professional chef

Explore Vermont's vibrant farm-to-table food culture

Relax knowing we handle all the logistics and planning so you can be present

This retreat is level I. This means it's for you if you:

You can run at least 3 to 4 miles at a time on the road

If you use a run-walk method of pacing or consider yourself a "slow" runner

May or may not have run trails before but are curious about trying

You are comfortable being on your feet for up to 3 hours at time

Are game for running in the rain, as it rains a lot in Vermont this time of year!

Are curious about learning trail running (and don't mind muddy shoes!)

Good balance is recommended, as the fallen leaves can make the trails a bit slippery

A little bit about how we pace the runs:

We have either one or two guides (depending on the group size) to support the different pace groups, so there’s no pressure to run fast

The trails we run are a mix of dirt roads, double track roads and singletrack trails also used by bikers and cross-country skiers

Trail running experience isn’t necessary. Your retreat leader provides trail-running tips for running in this terrain.

You’ll encounter trails with loose rocks, rooty terrain on these trails. You can walk/hike trail sections as you need.
