Kite Beach, Cabarete, is on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Cabarete is the perfect place to escape to for a yoga retreat, giving you the opportunity to unwind and be at peace without removing yourself completely from everything. Located only 20km from Puerto Plata airport with daily international flights it is easily accessible.
You will find this unique adventure sports town built between a breathtaking, semi-circular beach and the El Choco National park it is like stepping into a different world. Year long trade winds, glassy waves and the dense tropical rain forest and mountains close by make for a special place.

Scott, Lauren, and Kriste

Scott is a lifelong coach. He is an entrepreneur in health, fitness, and sports performance and all of the crazy business and living things would never fit on just one page! In 2015 he started putting on live events in the form of camps and retreats for runners. The energy of getting people offline and into the mountains and onto the trails is something you have to experience to understand and he is planning on creating many more of these experiences for runners around the world!

Lauren grew up in Littleton, CO, and has been running, biking, and hiking the front-range trails for over 20 years! She has her degree in exercise science and sports performance and has been working as a trainer and coach for 15 years. Lauren is the mother of 2 active little boys. She is passionate about introducing women to new sports and empowering them to overcome obstacles, build confidence and explore the outdoor world.

Kriste is a Denver-based outdoor enthusiast and guide, runner, writer, and mindfulness meditation teacher. As a UESCA-certified trail running coach for L2S (and head coach of our beginner course), she shares her passion for outdoor engagement, fitness, and inspiring new narratives of adventure. As a leader in Colorado’s BIPOC outdoor community, Kriste offers talks that address increasing the representation of people of color in nature. She has facilitated workshops, participated in panels, and delivered online training at conferences that include NOLs Risk Management, PGM One, Outdoor Retailer, REI, Summit Sisters, and more.
