We invite you to a painting vacation with the visual artist Kari Nordnes. Kari is a figurative artist inspired by Odd Nerdrum, with whom she has been a student. You can choose to paint a portrait, a nude, or a full figure in a landscape or interior. You can also be inspired by the surroundings of the fantastic garden at Finca Parilla, if you want to paint motifs around you, such as houses, flowers, trees, etc... The course includes color theory, theory on both body and portrait and you will get practice in the most important color mixtures. The course teacher will also review the equipment used in oil painting and you will learn the whole process of painting a picture with oil paint. We will work with perspective and depth.

About The Host

We are a Norwegian family who has been fascinated by Andalucía and vacationed here for more than 30 years. As northerners, the warm climate attracted us, as well as the beautiful nature, rich culture, and the history of the region. Our interest in aesthetics and architecture led us to the beautiful mountain village of Frigiliana, we fell in love at first sight. When we bought the property all houses needed a full renovation- as well as the overgrown garden. It has taken years to get the property as it stands today. We have been working hard and following our dreams to create a place inspired by nature, tranquility, and healthy living.
