A Few Spots Left

This jaw-dropper threads its way through ethereal scenery, every corner brings something bigger and more magnificent to take in.

We base ourselves for the duration in the gorgeous mountain town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, it’s location is supreme being so centrally located with a wonderful buzz and excitement about the place as visitors peel off in different directions of the Dolomites.

Over the week, our trail follows the famous Lavaredo Ultra Trail a 120km route with some 19,000ft to climb. We’ve broken this down into manageable chunks covering approx. 24km a day to maximise the experience. Each day we’ll return to Cortina to relax and rest.

We have the support of a vehicle for the entirety of the experience which gives us direct transfers to/from the trailhead each day, as well as pop-up aid stations at a variety of points around the course.

TRAIL RUNNING

This is a multi-day trail running experience split into manageable sections. The Lavaredo trail is breathtaking, but also challenging. We’ll on average cover a distance of 24km per day which includes moving over rocky and technical terrain in some parts. You can expect to be on your feet for around 4 - 6 hours per day.

You will experience the most spectacular places of the Dolomites: the Cristallo, the Tofane, Cinque Torri, and of course the Tre Cime.

We’ll balance the trip carefully as we have back-back days of trail running. Hiking will be adopted where necessary to enjoy some of the big climbs, making it easy to jog the downhills and run the flats.

TEMPERATURES

June is a perfect time of year to be in the Dolomites. Daytime temperatures reach the mid-20 degrees C with a chance we’ll have blue sunny days. Being in the mountains of course can be unpredictable and there is the chance of rain and thunderstorms, which will likely be short-lived.
