The Isle of Man is a hidden gem, quietly tucked away in the Irish sea between Ireland and the mainland UK. What you’ll find is a sensational wilderness, characterised by lush valleys, rolling hills and a rugged coastline scattered with secret beaches. Now regarded as one of the most beautiful spots in Britain, you can see why we've decided to host a trail running experience here.

Glen’s with waterfalls and rounded mountain peaks, rocky beaches and lighthouses, cosy inns & artisanal restaurants. On this experience we’ll spend 3-full days topping up the trail tank, running perfect trails set away from the rat race of busy life.

We’ll cross the island, hit the highest peak, and glide our way around its coastline to experience a trail-running adventure like no other.

Highlights:

Trail run one of the most beautiful and overlooked spots in Britain

Experience a fully-supported trail adventure travelling only with light-packs

Cross the island as we follow the ‘Via Regia’ an ancient route that travels from Sky Hill in the north to Castle Rushen in the south

Hit the highest point on the island - Snaefell (610m)

Group management

Being a group of max. 10 runners with a mixture of ages and running abilities we may decide to split into flexible groups, all of which will be supported by our running guides who will travel with us on the trip.

Splitting the group will allow us all to move more fluidly, allowing all team members to run at their own comfortable pace, without feeling pressured.

Trail running

The terrain is undulating and includes some steep hill sections which we walk, as well as some steep downhill sections at times.

We’ll be running through valleys, over hills, along craggy shorelines. Underfoot conditions consist of a mixture of hard-packed, as well as pebbly trails when we hit some of the coastal routes.

Temperatures

We run the trails in mid-summer when the countryside is lush and green. We can expect daily temperatures to sit on an average of 20 degrees C, however, being Britain there is every chance of a hot spell (25 degrees C) or a colder spell (sub-18 degrees C).

This also being the Isle of Man you should prepare for the high chance of rain and wind, as well as bright sunshine. On the island it is not unusual to experience four seasons in one day.
