We will be staying at a Casa located in Olhao, a town in the Algarve region of Southern Portugal, known for its picturesque streets, local markets, and easy access to the Outlying Islands.

This 5 night / 6 day yoga & wellness retreat is all about aligning ourselves with the energy of the Summer Solstice for a week of celebration and renewal.

We will offer daily outdoor rooftop yoga classes with meditation, pranayama, and journaling, Ayurvedic workshops on routine, rituals, food as medicine, and how to live a balanced, healthy and happy life, and delicious plant-based meals made with local ingredients.

In addition, we'll connect with nature by hiking, swimming, exploring the Outlying Islands, and spending time outside to simply appreciate the beauty of our world.

Carole will guide you through this retreat from her own life-experience, deep studies & personal practice of Yoga Philosophy, Asana, Pranamaya, Meditation, Ayurveda, and Lifestyle Coaching.

Come  and celebrate with us the summer solstice, a time of abundance, joy and renewal, and create unforgettable memories. Book your spot now and let us help you partake in an unforgettable retreat in Olhao, Portugal!

Welcome to Portugal's Authentic Gem

We love Olhao for it's down to earth salty charm, warm and hospitable people, creative community, cobbled streets and faded grandeur.

The best way to get to know Olhao is to walk out the front door and wander down to the waterfront. Getting lost in the twisted network of cobbled streets along the way is part of the fun. There is usually a surprise or two to enjoy along the way. When you get to the sea front, there are the fabulous markets at the water's edge (fish to the right, fresh fruit/veg & meats to the left) and a host of restaurants, cafes and bars to relax in along the way.

PLUS, not to visit at least one of the Islands (Armona, Culatra, Farol or Deserta) would be criminal! They each have a distinct feel but each one has beautiful unspoilt beaches, and wonderful low key restaurants/beach bars where you will happily away the day. The islands are easy to get to: you can either take a small ferry which runs multiple times per day during the summer or a river taxi. They all go from the same place, just 150m east along the waterfront from the market.

Hi, I'm Carole

E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher,

I have been practicing Yoga since 2012. First, it was a way to complement a life of running and soccer but it was also a means of learning to slow down, become more present, and discover more joy in the moment. As my interest in yoga grew, I found a strong desire to learn the traditional parts of this beautiful practice and eventually be able to share them, as a teacher, with others.

I completed my first 200-hour Hatha / Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Pokhara, Nepal in 2014 and my 300-hour Hatha / Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Kerala, India in 2018, both with Rishikul Yogshala.

I have completed two 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings (Rishikul Yogshala; Nepal 2014 & Y2 Yoga; Charlotte, NC 2022), one 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (Rishikul Yogshala; India, 2018), two trainings with Para Yoga (Marma & Four Desires), a year-long Ashtanga Yoga Apprenticeship with AYS and countless immersions and workshops, all to deepen my skills as a student and teacher.

Within my classes, my goal is to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe to show up as their truest, most authentic selves. My classes are structured in a traditional manner; following the 8-limbs and my love for Ashtanga. I teach breath, alignment, discipline, and strength & grace in order to help one be fully immersed in their practice. I provide a well-rounded class that will help one improve their strength, flexibility, self-awareness, and overall connection of mind, body, and soul. You will leave feeling rejuvenated, energized, and empowered. I encourage everyone to try yoga so they can discover their innate potential, personal power, and higher purpose, as well as a deeper understanding of their True Self.
