Dean began his open water marathon swimming journey in 2013 and has since achieved remarkable feats, including completing the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and six of the Oceans Seven. He holds the record for the longest Australian ocean swim (95.6 km from Newcastle to Sydney) and continues to train and mentor long-distance swimmers. On this trip, you'll have the unique opportunity to swim alongside a swimmer who embodies the spirit of adventure and resilience. Along the way we will be sharing and learning marathon swimming tips to push our boundaries over 60 km of swimming

Our journey begins in Puerto Ayora, where we'll stay at the chic Hotel Blu, offering panoramic views of the ocean and a seamless blend of modern comfort and island charm. The second part of our trip takes us to Isabela Island, where the enchanting Iguana Crossing Boutique Hotel awaits. These will be our homebases for the exciting days of island exploration, swimming, and basking in the sun's warmth.

Each day, we’ll immerse ourselves in the pristine waters surrounding the archipelago, observing a kaleidoscope of marine life. We'll encounter sea lions, penguins, and a diverse array of benthic organisms, including turtles, sharks, and vibrant coral reefs. As we explore, we'll marvel at underwater volcanoes and unique seascapes, with each swim revealing the wonders of this natural sanctuary.
