97% of Galapagos is a protected area managed by the GNP. The remaining 3% consists by port authority. We adhere strictly to management plans, policies, and authorized boats in these areas. While following guidelines, we aim to include some unique first-time swims in the Galapagos itinerary.
The presence of the authorized naturalist guide we will have, who is also an experienced swimmer, is primarily to ensure that we comply with all activities within the guidelines and rules of the GNP and help us do some unique swims. Galapagos is different from other destinations: here, those who visit must adhere to the rules.
Our accommodations are top-quality and recommended by local partners for our style of trip, though there are no 5-star resort hotels in the area. Instead, options lean towards rustic and eco-friendly accommodations, preserving the natural environment we'll be exploring.
