Enjoy a 4 day stay at Chateau Vermont in the heart of Jersey, our exclusive hire of this historic venue includes acres of grounds, verandas and expansive pergolas. The Chateau is now the home of Jersey Academy of Music, it won't be unusual to come back to the sounds of aspiring musicians playing downstairs during the day. 

We have scoped every beach, crack and rocky cove on the North, East, South and West of this emerald isle, in view of France. Allowing swims throughout your stay regardless of the weather. 

Your trip is inclusive of transfers (at set times), transport, swims, dips, hikes, and morning and evening meals (we think you'll love the lunch options whilst we are out exploring!) and cake...every...single..day!

Highlights include swims around small islands, dips on the wild and rugged north coast, swims around the white sanded South coast, sunsets on the sand, beach waterfalls, swimming through natural arches and a low tide walk out to infamous  La Corbiere.

Most of our guests are solo travellers who make friends for life, however we also welcome small groups as well.

1:00 PM Friday until 1pm (Bank Holiday) Monday.

Beginners welcome, breast strokers welcome, improvers welcome, racing snakes welcome. We'll swim up to around 2km per day, or come along for a daily swimble.

We'll pick you up from the main transport hubs at set times.

We'll move you from swim to swim.

Breakfasts - From smashed avocado to homemade granola, we've got this.

Dinners - Watch our pizza chefs create stone-baked Neopolitan Pizzas or enjoy a wholesome curry.

We won't charge you for joining us on swims, dips, and walks.

From bunked dorms to elegant double rooms.

Our staff are qualified and experienced Beach Lifeguards and Open Water Swim Coaches, there are no grandads on kayaks in our crew!

Airfare

We know we normally do lunch, but we think you'd like to have the option of lunch out.

Flights and ferries not included, there are flights from most airports and ferries from Poole in Dorset.

Mel, Owen and Rich

Mel is a full-time swim guide, Mel is a qualified Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Swim Coach, and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Program.

Owen is a full-time adventure guide and Beach Lifeguard who has achieved the National Water Safety Management Program.

Rich is a Beach Lifeguard, Open Water Lifeguard, and Open Water Swim Coach and has achieved the National Water Safety Management Program. Rich also delivers the whole suite of lifeguard and water safety awards to The Royal Lifesaving Society as a National Trainer Assessor.

Itinerary

Day 1 Check in Chataeu Vermont

Could you check in from 1:00 PM, we'll collect you from the airport or St Helier Port at set times (crossings and flights not yet released).

A safety brief in the gardens will be followed by a visit to Le Havre de Pas' tidal pool for a swim clinic. Please let us know what you'd like to do with our Open Water Swim Coaches.

A wholesome dinner followed by a sunset dip at The Splash, a local spot with the option of a drink and a boogie in this incredible location.

Day 2 Round the Island Swim

After breakfast join us for a walk down to a quiet sandy cove for a float or a swim around a mysterious island in crystal clear water, lunch options in a local village is followed by a dip at a super remote rocky cove on the North Coast.

Enjoy a wholesome dinner and explore the gardens at the chateau.

Day 3 Waterfalls, Caves and Blue Seas

Join us watching the sun rise over the French coast a we dip on the East coast.

We'll visit a remote sandy beach with its incredible waterfall, natural arches and endless sand.

Choose to eat lunch overlooking the bay before a walk out to their infamous La Corbière lighthouse, only accessible at certain tides.

Enjoy our last evening meal before our Tame the Tides talk, understand tides, rips and waves in this informal lecture.

Day 4 Au Revoir

Breakfast followed by a trip out to another remote cove, with the option to swim around an Island.

We'll get you back to your transport hub with a head full of memories and a belly full of cake.

Location
Things to keep in mind

Bookings are fully refundable within 14 days.

In the event of cancellation by the client, the booking is fully refundable on the condition that your booking has been re-sold.

In the event of illness including Coronavirus, your booking will be transferred to a later date. A sick note or isolation note is suitable proof of illness or infection.

The Host offer a sample itinerary upon booking. This is based upon good weather and sea state at those locations and participant's swimming ability being strong enough to complete the swim route without cause for concern.

The Host Coaches/ guides/ lifeguards work to clear environmental parameters. If forecasted weather falls outside of these parameters, locations will be used. other swim

If an individual's swimming ability is not strong enough, other routes/ swims will be recommended, some of these may involve walking to agreed meeting points at your risk.

In inclement weather, alternative swims/ activities will be provided, in this event The Host would not offer refunds.

You are responsible for your own health & safety between swims. We do not take responsibility for your personal items.

The Host may take photos and videos for marketing purposes. If you would prefer to not be in them, please let us know beforehand.
